Make Mentorship A Top Priority For Your Success

In my social media post I talked about the importance of having mentors. When you are trying to learn a new skill, it can be a long and challenging road ahead. The good news is, someone has likely traveled that same path and have already figured out the booby traps, the obstacles, and the pitfalls. These are your mentors! Seek them out, you can save a lot of time, money, and effort by not making the same big mistakes they have probably made.

Now how do you find them?

1. First define what skill are you trying to learn?

2. Find them on social media, most mentors are generous with their knowledge and are willing or are already teaching online! They cannot keep their abundance to themselves :)

3. Read books! Authors can be your mentors.

4. Join masterminds, join coaching programs to be in the same room with like minded folks. There is so much power in this.

5. This may be out of the box thinking, but I find mentorship in my ancestors who have gone before me. I seek guidance and ask my ancestors what they would have done.

6. Another out of the box source of mentorship is your FUTURE SELF. Ask her/him/them who has already achieved and unlocked this new skill for guidance. What would your FUTURE SELF tell you at this moment? How do we hook our future selves up? What do you think your future self will thank you for starting TODAY?
